In addition to his latest venture as a highly respected author, Ronald McDonald is also a well-established business leader with numerous success stories in many fields including restaurant development and design, real estate sales and development, hospitality professional services and food equipment development. Here are examples of a few notable projects:


Ronald L. McDonald has been active in the restaurant and hospitality industry for over 40 years.

• Opened the first Wendy's Hamburger unit in South Carolina for Dave Thomas.

• In 1967 he designed and built the first disco in the U.S. Pandora's Box was located in Miami, FL.

• Ronald L. McDonald was active in helping to develop two major steak house chains. He also designed and built The Ale Haus and The Villa Inn's Italian Restaurant chains. In Texas he built and sold the Cue Club and developed Illusions with Lou Rawls and Bernie Milinsky.

Ronald is still active as a consultant for a number of restaurants and food chains as well as public companies involved in the hospitality industry:

• Mad Mac's International - A unique entertainment concept that offers a variety of themed dining and entertainment options. The Funporium is a collection of different themed areas and games to suit the market including: The Midway (carnival type games and amusements), Gasoline Alley (hot rod, Indy and other auto racing and motorcycle games), All Pro Sports (team sports themes), Laird McDonald’s Steak House (Angus steak house experience), Parisian Café (European desserts and coffee boutique), The Club Room (English style pool and billiard room), The 19th Tee (an urban golf and country club), and Movie Mac’s (ciné pub and movie grill). These units are slated for development in Eastern and Western Europe.

• Coast to Coast Real Estate, Inc. - A Florida State licensed real estate brokerage firm with offices in Tampa and Melbourne, FL. Coast to Coast also holds a mortgage broker's license.

• Ronald L. McDonald Real Estate and Construction Co. - A Florida State licensed certified General Contractor and qualified real estate developer.

• Morningside Management, Inc. - A Florida management and consulting corporation that specializes in commercial income producing and residential real estate investments for a number of investors.

Dixie Southern Food Group, Inc. - A Delaware corporation that has developed a unique line of "heat and serve" entrée items that are distributed by a number of major food brokers.

Monte Cristos Cigar and Martini Bar - A unique real estate-based cigar bar concept. Designed to occupy only 1500 sq.ft. of space, this project allows for placement on out parcels, hotel and motel parking lots.

Cottonwood Creek Farms - The first truly gourmet line of Heat and Serve Entrées offered on the market. Specializing in Southern Style BBQ, pulled pork, ribs, chicken, premium, mouth-watering USDA steaks and more.

• Restaurant Employee and Services Technology (R.E.S.T.) - A specialized PEO and employment services company for the hospitality industry, owned by McDonald Hospitality Services Company.

• Titan Marine and Tackle Company, Inc. - Producer of titanium marine hardware, titanium fishing rod guides and seats and other SCUBA diving and fishing related items. Ronald McDonald holds 50% of this company with Mr. Eddie Rosenburg.

Charities:

• The Inner City Fund, Inc. - A 501c Not for Profit corporation that is devoted to providing housing for the physically challenged. By building and remodeling homes to accommodate the wheelchair bound, we provide a way to allow these individuals to become more self-reliant. Ronald is proud to be Chairman of this organization.

Ronald L. McDonald has earned special recognition and numerous business-related awards including:

• National Republican Congressional Committee Businessman of the Year: Florida 2004.

• NRCC: Business Advisory Council: Florida Honorary Chairman 2003-2004.

• Member: The Presidents Business Advisory Commission 2004.
